Weaponsmith ⚔️
A page detailing the Weaponsmith role within Medieval Discord and their forge command.
Description:
Weaponsmiths are skilled artisans who specialize in creating weapons such as blades, polearms, and bludgeons. The weaponsmith's workshop, known as a shivy, is equipped with specialized tools such as a hammer, anvil, and forge. To create a weapon, the weaponsmith heats metal in the forge until it is malleable enough to shape. The weaponsmith then uses techniques such as hammering, grinding, and polishing to shape the metal into a specific weapon. The weaponsmith is also responsible for sharpening and hardening the weapon to make it suitable for use in battle. Weaponsmiths are highly valued members of society, as their creations are critical to the defense and success of armies and individuals. Their wares are sold to most people in Rosewood who need some sort of protection.
Mechanics:
Just like every other smith, the Weaponsmith uses the forge
command in order to turn simple materials into complex products which can then be used in trading or selling in the Market. Using this command will open up a dropdown menu wherein you can choose what you want to make. All smiths can use their personal storage in addition to their inventories when using the forge
command!

Relationship with the Market and other Users:
Weaponsmiths need refined materials like steel and iron bars to make their weapons. They should acquire these by speaking to and trading with Blacksmiths who make these bars directly. Additionally, they should get their wood from Tree Fellers if they want to save a couple of buckles. They, of course, always have the option of buying directly from the market, but they will have to pay the standard price.
Weapons, compared to armor and jewelry, are more affordable, meaning more people will be buying them. It's for this reason that blacksmiths and weaponsmiths should expect to have the most interactions with other characters. This is good since it means that you will be earning more and your customers will be paying less.
