## Description:

Officers are loyal Sergeants who have been promoted due to their experience and expertise. Their job is similar to Sergeants, except they have a much more prestigious position, closely working with the Captains' Lieutenants in order to keep the City Watch running. They are distinguishable by the three blue stripes they wear around their left bicep. The people of Rosewood sometimes refer to Officers as "Hounds", since they are known to train guard dogs at times.

* **Weekly (Sunday) Paycheck:** `35 coin`
* **Rank-up Requirement:** `250 xp`
* **Rank-up Rewards:** `Spear`

## In-depth guide:

Officers provide few new options in day-to-day RP. In essence, they are very similar to Sergeants, except they have command over them. They may oversee the duties of those below them and are the most trusted allies of Lieutenants. Plus, they are one step closer to the Bailiff's ear, meaning they can help organize push-backs against gang activity in Rosewood.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.medievaldiscord.com/military/watch/officer.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
