Hunter 🦌

A page detailing the Hunter role within Medieval Discord and their hunt command.

Description:

Hunters track and capture wild animals for food and other resources. Hunting is an important part of medieval life, as it provides a source of meat, fur, and other materials for clothing, tools, and weapons. Hunters use various techniques to capture their prey, such as traps, snares, and bows and arrows. They are also skilled in tracking and stalking animals, as well as identifying their behavior and habitat. Hunting is often a dangerous occupation, as hunters can face injury or even death from their prey or other hazards in the wilderness. These individuals are given the right to hunt in the forests surrounding Rosewood.

Mechanics:

Using the command will open a menu wherein you will be able to choose the type of animal you wish to hunt.

The huntcommand is used by the Hunter in order to successfully hunt and capture wild game in exchange for using spears and arrows. Depending on the size of the animal, it will require more to successfully hunt down.

Relationship with the Market and other Users:

The Hunter is the only person, besides Knights and Lords (Hunters are the only people who can use the hunt command), that can hunt in the forest. For their command to work, they need to have an equipped bow/spear (depending on what they are hunting). If they are using the bow, they will need a number of arrows in their inventory. If they are using the spear, then it will be used up in the hunt attempt.

The higher the level, the higher the chances that the spear will be dropped instead of lost upon using the huntcommand.

Chances:

  • LVL 1 - 10%

  • LVL 2 - 25%

  • LVL 3 - 50%

  • LVL 4 - 75%

  • LVL 5 - 100%

As such, the Hunter will often need to replace their weapons and they can do that through the Market (Arrows), or a (Spears). Once they have successfully caught an animal, Hunters will be given its corpse in the inventory. This valuable material can then be sold directly to the Market or to a character for a higher profit.
